Today I spent about two hours working on my first
queer_fest story, two more trying to get ideas to continue it, four hours eating pizza* and watching The Sound of Music** with Brother's mom, and then a half hour of furious writing before managing to post on AO3 and link to it from the community two minutes before midnight.

Title: Behind Closed Doors
Author: Tsukino Akume
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing/characters: Draco/Harry, Pansy/Hannah
Rating: G
Prompt: any Slytherin, A House that is so devoted to keeping up appearances is... not the most welcoming place to be anything but straight and your assigned gender. On the surface, anyway.
Summary: The fifth year Slytherins return for another year of school and another round of plotting to get Draco and Pansy laid.
There were two welcome speeches one heard upon being sorted into Slytherin House.
Now I have today to finish the next prompt, tomorrow to post it, and then rinse and repeat! Here's hoping the next stories come out better than this one did. >.<
* For some reason I haven't been able to eat pizza lately without getting sick, no matter the toppings, sauce, or brand. But since she was kind enough to order me one, I tried eating *very* small slices of cheese pizza one at a time, and very slowly. We'll see in a few hours if it made a difference.
** I kind of giggled when I first saw what she had on because of the second chapter of Bright Skies (where Wes mentions that Katie kept listening to the soundtrack over and over), but I sat down to watch with her 'cause I haven't seen it in years. I liked it more than I remembered. I'm not usually big on musicals or classics, so it was a bit of a surprise.Behold the manipulative powers of Julie Andrews!

And maybe it will get my butt moving on writing my prompts, lol...

Prompt: Fred Weasley II, FtM - Fred's always been one of the boys
I fell in love with this prompt the moment I saw it. Currently my thought is something along the idea of 'Fred's always been one of the boys - except when someone else decides he isn't.' with scenes of his life when someone else has tried to tell him he's a girl. So far I'm thinking of moments like a family boys vrs. girls Quidditch match, the aftermath of having transgender explained to him, his first night at Hogwarts, and sometime in fourth or fifth year, when his dormmates decide they're not comfortable sharing a room with him anymore because Hormones and Puberty. Possibly something with him convincing Moaning Murtle to let him use her bathroom, so he doesn't have to deal with anyone else having issues with it.
That's ... all the ideas I have so far. I'm having a really hard time writing it. o.O I suspect it's because this is a character I've never dealt with before, which is equally fascinating and difficult to work with.
Prompt: Power Rangers Time Force
Prompt: Wes/Eric The one regret Eric had when leaving prep school was breaking up with Wes. It took him awhile to accept his sexuality and he’d like another chance with Wes, he’s just not sure how to ask.
You'd think Wes/Eric would be easy! I mean, I write them ALL THE TIME. -Headdesks-
So far I have a small scene about them running into each other at a GLBTSA meeting, which Eric blames on Alice, and everything being awkward and weird because Wes didn't know Eric was out. I have vague thoughts of them running into each other during their time as Rangers, and somehow that leads to .... something? And one of them asks the other out?
I could *really* use some thoughts on where to go with this one, because my muses are just giving me the finger and eyeing Bright Skies again. >.<++

Awkward!Eric is one of my favorite things ever. And from the prompt, that might be the way to go? Like, make him keep trying to *will* Wes to like him because he thinks he has those abilities and then nothing happen and Eric Headdesking. It could even happen after Timeforce canon, since they're friends at that point? And maybe have Wes be the one who finally asks Eric out in the end! I dunno, I'm just shooting out ideas here, lol. You could also do the hanging out "I thought it was a date" "You have to be more clear about that" scenario, lol.
