The Great Flu Epidemic has finally began to leave our household. I had it for a good two weeks (And became somewhat addicted to NyQuil during the process it seems x.x), and Brother ended up staying home from work for about a week. Seeing as he plays games and watches anime on his computer while he's home, I haven't had internets until he went back to work today. So I watched movies, slept lots, and played Sims3 obsessively.

How did you come to start your LJ?
I became friends with Starlit Purple after she messaged me on Fanfiction.net, and she was always talking about it and linking me things after we started chatting on Yahoo. Eventually I gave in and made an account, which is what spawned Technologically Impaired.

How did you find your first friends?
Starlit Purple was technically my first for said reasons above. Then rosabelle and starandrea replied to my first post (Which I flailed about for awhile, because a) PEOPLE COMMENTED! and b) OMG STARHAWK IS TALKING TO ME!), and others followed suit shortly after.

Are those first friends still on your FL?
Yes! And my life has been infinitely improved! ♥

How long have you been on LJ?
Since February 17, 2008. So almost five years now.

Do you have more friends or communities on your FL?
Uh ... -Checks- Friends!

Do you do a lot of friends cuts?
Almost never. Partly because I'm lazy, and partly because I don't find a reason to cut anyone.

What do you like in an LJ friend?
People who post/link fanfiction tend to catch my attention the most, but I also enjoy when people talk about their lives, or share thoughts and interests about things. It's how I get a lot of my recommendations.

What do you dislike in an LJ friend?
I am all for venting, but I will admit that I have a hard time with people who constantly rant about everything in their lives, and never look for anything good. This is really because I try very hard to stay focused on the positive things in my life to keep my spirits up, and it can be difficult to do when there's someone who only focuses on negative energy. (Venting about life, Issues, or just getting things off your chest is something completely different however; it's healthy, and I encourage everyone to do it. It's when you only vent/rant about things and never try to talk about anything that makes you happy or excited that it can get depressing.)

What would make you un-friend someone immediately?
I'm incredibly hard to offend, so that would be really hard to do. Most likely it would have to be someone attacking someone or something verbally, either to an excessive level or without provocation. I'd be more bothered if they were attacking someone else than if they were attacking me.

Have you been caught up in a lot of LJ drama?
Blowing Smoke? I still don't regret it, though. It changed a lot of things in my life, but it changed *me* for the better. ♥

Do real-life friends and family members know you have a journal on LJ?
Yup. I've sent the link to a couple people, namely my mom and Brother and Shi-chan. Not everyone reads it, but sometimes I learn they've been lurking around, because I'm more likely to talk about what's going on in my life in my journals.

Do you also have Facebook and if so, what do you prefer – LJ or FB?
I have a Facebook account basically to keep track of my relatives, since I never hear from 90% of them anymore. I have a few friends of friends there, but really I just use it for that. Dreamwidth/LiveJournal is where I go to vent about my life and talk to the people who truly matter.

What about Twitter?
I also have Twitter! Unfortunately hardly anyone seems to use it anymore, which is making me lose interest in it too. -Sadface- I mostly use it for comments and/or pictures from PR or Supernatural actors, and NaNoWriMo.

Do you blog on any other sites?
Nope. It's all about my journals.

How often do you check in on LJ?
I have a system when I use the internet: Yahoo, Hotmail, Facebook, Twitter, Dreamwidth, LiveJournal. Occasionally I'll check Dreamwidth or LiveJournal again later to see if anyone's posted again (namely when I'm really bored).

What do you rarely or never post about?
-Grins wryly at rosabelle- Politics and religion. I'm an extremely Liberal Independent who happens to be a Wiccan/Pagan/somewhat Buddhist and has marginal psychic ability. Oh, and I very rarely post about anything supernatural. (By which I mean spiritual/psychically-oriented, not the show.)

Why don't you post about that?
I'm happy to agree to disagree on any of them, but seeing as not everyone else feels the same way at times, I try to avoid or at least cut these topics. That, and they often depress me or upset someone. >.O

Have you ever thought about deleting your journal?
Not a chance. It's probably one of the places where I'm most honest. And a lot of blogging sites either squwik me or have little to no feedback.

Have you ever changed your username?
Nope. It's the same name I've used since I discovered the internet.

Why did you choose your current username?
My 'nee-chan gave it to me, because after discovering a mutual love of anime and getting into Japanese language and culture together, we both wanted a Japanese nickname. I wasn't comfortable with the idea of using my real name over the internet (and hated/still don't like it anyway), so I chose to go by Tsukino Akume instead. After all these years, the only thing that's felt more like my true name is when rosabelle dubbed me Sunny.

If you're looking for new friends, how do you find them?
I rarely hunt others down (I'm still kind of shy about it. ^.^;;;), so mostly I get comments and/or PMs from some random person and I'm like 'Sure! Let's be friends!'

Are you taking new people on to your Friends List just now?
-Snickers- I'm not exclusive. And I love new friends!

Finally, tell us the reasons why you keep an online journal.
On a similar vein to rosabelle, the internet - and more specifically my journal - has always been the place where I feel the most free to be myself, and express my thoughts and feelings without judgement. More recently, I've also noticed my journal communities are overflowing with more love, kindness, and genuine affection for each other than anywhere else in my life. ♥

Blegh. I'm still worn out being sick and today's doctor's appointment.* I'm also in the mood for some major Antonio/Jayden fluff, which I absolutely blame [personal profile] punkpinkpower and the e-mail alerts she gave me for. ♥

* On which note, I REALLY REALLY need some positive thoughts/energy/prayers for the next two days, that medical testing finds something wrong with my shoulder. Which sounds a bit masochistic, but if they find things, it means I'm not just being a wuss. So I REALLY REALLY REALLY need them to find things. -Anxious-

Wait, what did I give you in your email? Hohumho? Well, whatever I did, I hope it was a good thing. :P

And I hope they find something *fixable* wrong with you. You don't want them to find something that is just like, well, up shit creek! But I will hope.
