Not Dead.
Just a note to say that I'm still breathing. Haven't been feeling very social lately. Also spending almost two weeks now fighting with my body, which has staged some sort of rebellion. (Lots of weird symptoms, my arthritis starting to act up again, and the past couple days I've had dizziness and nausea to the point that I've had to sit or lay down before I pass out.)
So ... I'm around, checking updates and whatnot. My CampNano and queer_fest projects have been silently glaring at me and my lack of energy and inspiration, but I haven't forgotten them. Mostly I've spent a lot of time curled up in bed, sleeping or playing Final Fantasy VII on the PSP.
On the upside, I've never gotten this far in the game before.
Much love and sympathies to everyone who has been going through Issues recently. It seems like April's been a rough month for all of us.

Which is probably why I don't agree with *all* of the ones you sorted, but I do most of them!
Although you forgot Justin. -Pouty glare- I personally put him in Hufflepuff, because while he *was* a genius, he was more interest in being with/around/having friends than being interested in studying.
-Clears throat- And now for my protests!
- Kimberly (Griffindor vrs. Hufflepuff): I put Kim in Hufflepuff because I tend to see her as being brave when she needs to be, and usually because her friends need her. I hemmed a bit over the hardworking at first, but she's a gymnast for a reason.
- Carlos (Griffindor vrs. Hufflepuff): I'm ... not sold on Carlos in either category, honestly. He's very loyal to his team, but he's brave, too. He could be either or.
- Ryan (Griffindor vrs. Slytherin): I absolutely put Ryan in Slytherin. He was the *one* Ranger who was 'evil' without being brainwashed into it, and was both incredibly cunning and ambitious. You can argue that he's brave after the whole cobra incident, but I don't see that as being the core of who he is; more that he didn't want to lose what he'd earned.
- Dana (Griffindor vrs. Hufflepuff): That's a hard one. Dana *is* brave, but she's also very loyal to her family and her team, and works hard to be good at things.
- Wes (Griffindor vrs. Hufflepuff): For all Wes' Bravery, I always think of his loyalty to his friends and his father above all else. (Although now that I'm thinking about it, I'd make Alex a Slytherin.)
- Cole (Griffindor vrs. Hufflepuff): My impression of Cole was that he was brave because he was needed, and that he became a Ranger because he needed to be. And in his first few fights, he was more concerned with trying to make peace than anything. He only became more agressive and brave bordering on stupidity as the season went on.
- Hunter (Griffindor vrs. Slytherin vrs. Hufflepuff): I'm ... torn on Hunter. I don't see him as a Griffindor. Initially I said Slytherin because of his intro to the show, when he supposedly wasn't evil? But I can also say Hufflepuff because of his loyalty to his family, and eventually his teammates.
- Blake (Griffindor vrs. Slytherin): I think of Blake as the brains of the attack on Sensei and the Rangers, seeing as he seemed to be the one holding Hunter back at times. Definitely the cunning one.
- Z (Griffindor vrs. Hufflepuff): I can see Z as a Griffindor, but the moments that really stuck out for me about her in the series involved her loyalty to Jack and their teammates. And she *worked* at rising to B Squad's level.
- Vida (Griffindor vrs. Slytherin): That's another one that I think could go either way. But V always struck me as somewhat cunning and ambitious, too.
- Tanya (Griffindor vrs. Hufflepuff): -Frowns- I'd say bravery for her decision to take Aisha's crystal back, but after that she was more about working to catch up to the others than anything. I'd go either way, I s'pose.
- Cassie (Hufflepuff vrs. Slytherin): I saw Cassie's amibtion for music before anything else. ... Although she *does* choose to stay with T.J. out of loyalty. Hmm.
- Max (Hufflepuff vrs. Slytherin): I'm not sold on this one. I just saw Max as more cunning than loyal, but that's another you could debate.
- Sam (Hufflepuff vrs. Slytherin): Sam is *absolutely* a Slytherin in my mind. He has ambition from the moment he joins S.P.D., to be a Ranger. Which you *could* claim as hard work, but I dunno.
- Damon (Ravenclaw vrs. Slytherin): ... I have no idea why you put Damon in Slytherin. o.O
- Merrick (Ravenclaw vrs. Griffindor): I put him in Griffindor almost by default: he's not very cunning or ambitious, he's not really loyal because he keeps running off, and he's not that interested in learning about the world around him. So I vote Griffindor.
- Alyssa (Hufflepuff vrs. Ravenclaw): Hmm. I put her in Ravenclaw because of her determination to go to school, but I could see Hufflepuff.
- Tori (Ravenclaw vrs. Hufflepuff): -Glances up- And here I put Tori in Hufflepuff because of her loyalty to her friends, and the way she works at becoming a better ninja, but you could argue Ravenclaw for the same reason.
- R.J. (Ravenclaw vrs. Hufflepuff) That ... is another debate. I think it'd ultimately come down to where R.J. picked.
- Emma (Ravenclaw vrs. Hufflepuff): I'm not really sure *what* to do with Emma. I went for Hufflepuff because of her relationship with Gia and the Shippy Episode. I could kind of see Ravenclaw.
- Tommy (Slytherin vrs. Griffindor): I absolutely cannot see Tommy as a Slytherin. His entire strategy as a Ranger when he wasn't brainwashed was to beat the enemy into submission.
- Ashley (Slytherin vrs. Hufflepuff): ... And I have no idea why you put Ashley in Slytherin. o.O
- Damon (Slytherin vrs. Ravenclaw): Or Damon. o.O
- Kira (Slytherin vrs. Griffindor): I guess I could see Kira as Slytherin for her music career, but again, her moments that stuck with me from the series were when she was particularly brave.
- Jack (Slytherin vrs. Griffindor): I cannot see Jack as Slytherin. He avoided S.P.D. like the plague and tried to run off to do his own thing. I'd almost say Hufflepuff, but he's not really that hardworking.
- Nick (Slytherin vrs. Griffindor): Pretty much the same thing as with Jack: Nick actively tried to *avoid* being given power.
So! Those are my thoughts. Feel free to debate/convince me why I'm wrong! ^_~

See, my major waffling came over the way I look at the houses and what they value. When I think about putting people in Slytherin, it has to do with Ambition. Because that's what leads most people to go astray- want of power. Some justifications for the people I put in Slytherin:
- Ryan is in Slytherin on my list, so I don't know what you disagree? Lol.
- Nick to me just can't go anywhere else. I don't see him as a Gryffindor at all, and he succumbed to easily to the dark to be anywhere else. He's not a Hufflepuff for the same reasons Jack isn't; Hufflepuffs would have stayed, they didn't. I think his general demenor contributed to my decision to put him in Slytherin, and his lack of overt leadership throughout. And there's the pureblood wizards thing, lol. I mean lets be honest, Slytherin prizes purebloods, it always will.
- Jack - Ah, yes, he fought SPD, but not the power. What he didn't like about SPD was the rules, and not always having his way. The only reason he joined in the end was to save himself from sitting in jail, remember? And he left when he could to do his own thing, proving that his loyalty to his friend was not his first priority, nor was he cut out to be the brave guy. Sure, he spent his life helping people, but he did it his own way with his own ideas- which to me is ambition.
- Kira... to me is not a Gryffindor. You can have moments of bravery without being a Gryffindor, but I don't think her bravery is what defined her.
- Damon gets in Slytherin because he's a smart ass, but he's not a Smart Ass like the Ravenclaws, lol. Plus, he was very much the debbie downer of the group, the glass half empty guy. I put him in Slytherin because the one time he got to be really, really brave, it was rescuing the head of the station from Trakeena- something he didn't want to do until he found out it was the head of the station.
- Ashley get into Slytherin because she isn't a Hufflepuff at all! Sure, she had friends, but friendship was NOT what she prized. She was very much about "what do I get out of this friendship", and every time she and Cassie had a fight Ashley wasn't at all interested in their friendship. What usually resolved their fights was intervention or Cassie saving her, therefore performing a service Ashley needed. Ashley was hardcore! The reason she took an interest in Andros? He was cute. I never saw her as the kind of person to do something for someone just because they were her friend.
I'm less concerned with where the other characters go, apparently. Probably because Slytherin is my house, and I feel most strongly about it. Also I'm sorry I left Justin off, he's not one of my favorites and there were a lot of people to list. I also forgot Lauren, so, there's that.

-Nods- I think with Slytherin the deciding factor would be if you're abitious or not. Because anyone can be cunning, really.
- Ryan is also in Griffindor on your list, which is why I was confused. -Snickers- But I agree that he's Slytherin.
- Bah, Nick's bout with being 'dark' doesn't even count. He was evil for like, five minutes! -Mutters bitterly- I can see the Pureblood thing, but again, I'd put him in Griffindor because he's brave, but he wasn't ambitious at all. He's definitely not Hufflepuff, though.
- -Ponders- I can conceed your point on Jack as Slytherin. I think the hat would debate about him for a bit, though.
- This is true about Kira's bravery, but I didn't really see her as ambitious or cunning either, which is why I put her in Griffindor.
- I like this explanation for Damon's character! -Giggles- I need to rewatch Lost Galaxy again, but you have a point.
- That is an interpretation of Ashley that I never saw coming. o.O I ... can see your point, but I'm still not entirely sure I agree? She's turning out to be surprisingly hard for me.
Meh, that's fine. I'm just a stickler for MUST ORGANIZE ALL TINY DETAILS. @_@ (Which is why I realized later that we forgot Dom too, but I haven't seen any of his episodes yet to be confident in sorting him. ^.^;;)
-Glances up- No, you've got Lauren. Unless you added her. *I* actually forgot her when I was making my own list, so.
