1) ranger_recaps! Because not only are they highly entertaining, but they catch a lot of things I don't, and they ask for fanfic. (I haven't written any yet, but that doesn't mean I won't at some point.) They may or may not have also single-handedly convinced me that Zack is bisexual, and he and Jason make an adorable couple.

2) pr_au100! It may be pretty much dead admin-wise, but this was my first big challenge, and the one that started Bright Skies! Even if I never get a shiny banner from it, I still love it for the fact that it started my Epic SPD AU. ♥

3) prsw22! There's some pretty adorable fic here. It's also one of the best places to find good Wes/Eric slash. (Angel Negra's Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Dimension is one of my favorites. ^.^) And it inspired Fractured Fates, which is one of my few completed chapter fics, as well as being one of my favorite fanon universes.

Day 7

Uh ... -Trying to think-

Ooh, I know! I cross-stitch! I've even designed my own before. (It's not actually that hard; all you need is some graph paper.) My grandma taught me sewing and crafts during the times I used to visit her when I was little, and cross-stitch is one of the ones that really stuck with me. I find it very relaxing. And it's a great time for plotting bunnies!

Day 8

In your own space, talk about setting yourself a fannish goal. Big or small, it doesn't matter. Some examples: complete a bingo, sign up for a Big Bang, write that fic you've been thinking about for years, podfic that story that you love, make a fanmix for your fandom, post that bit of meta or reclist you keep putting off. Maybe resolve to be better at leaving feedback or answering comments. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

My goal is to FINALLY FINISH BRIGHT SKIES AND FTD.

... Okay, that's not technically realistic when you consider the scope of things, since these are both series. (And Bright Skies is turning into a pretty big AU. c.c;;) Narrowing it down, I'd like to finish Cataclysm and ADSoR this year. Ambitiously, I'd also finish the Bright Skies rewrite** and the first part of the FtD trilogy. I can't guarantee it, but that would be my goal.

In other news, I spent yesterday evening catching up on MMPR (Rangers Who Are Not Zack are getting surprisingly tactile lately, Tommy and Kimberly are finally dating, and most of what's happening makes no sense), and decided to bite the bullet and start Samurai so I can work them into Bright Skies. Even though I still haven't seen any of R.P.M., nor do I plan to until I have more of my epic fics finished.

Essentially this just means I skipped to the entrance of Antonio and started watching from there.

ANTONIO. ♥ I have ALL THE HEARTS for him. He is such a sparkly drama queen! I totally thought I was gonna end up hating him (even though I've already been shipping him with Jayden because so is half the fandom), but he's ADORKABLE! ♥ I want to squish him in hugs! And then squish him with Jayden because BOYFRIENDS! ♥

His Spanglish is starting to get annoying, but I'm willing to let it slide in favor of all the other ways he is adorable and awesome. Also, I am fascinated by his bizarre fighting style. He holds his Baracuda Blade like it's a kunai. Which is also the way street fighters hold knives.

Thoughts Jayden's response to seeing Antonio again: that is the cheesiest, gayest smile in the history of Power Rangers. They are totally boyfriends. Or about to be.

Thoughts on Jayden's insistence that he was 'just a kid': BULLSHIT. He totally knew what he was doing. That's not a kid being stubborn. That boy *knew* Antonio was coming back, and refused to let Ji who is an Asshole and always has been tell him otherwise. Go MiniJayden for having faith in your friend/future teammate!

Thoughts on The Tengen Gate: THAT IS NOT HOW YOU PRONOUNCE DAISUKE. I WILL FLAIL AND YELL AT THE SCREEN ANYTIME YOU SPEAK, BECAUSE YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE YOUR OWN NAME.***

I need ALL THE ANTONIO/JAYDEN FIC, because they are ridiculously adorable. And they prove about 90% of my theories from FtD. \0/

And now I need to go finish the rest of Samurai so I can finish integrating it into Bright Skies.



* ETA: I *knew* I forgot something when I posted this earlier. Oops. x.x
** NOBODY PANIC! When I say 'rewrite', I mean that I'm editing/dropping a few chapters, and adding in a few things that weren't there before now that I've expanded on the series. (i.e. the war on Aquitar, including the Samurai Rangers ...) And anything that gets dropped will end up in Bright Skies: Unscripted, so it's not gone forever. So far I'm four chapters into the new version.
*** It's 'Die-skay', not 'Die-sue-kay'. When a Japanese word ends in 'suke', the 'u' is silent. GET IT RIGHT SHOW. >.<++++
