Discovered this on Facebook today: Bi-Paternal Twins: Fraternal Twins with Different Fathers.

This seems to me to be an excellent reason for those of us in Fandom who love threesomes and Rangers With Tiny Children stories to write them. Or more specifically, more of them. Because rare or not, this is a Thing, and Science has proven it.

Thank you, Science.

I feel vindicated now.

Do you know they've actually found a way to make a baby with two mothers and one dad, too? It's invitro, obvs, but they can do it now to eliminate diseases in the embrio, so that if the mom wanting the kid has some sort of genetic thing, they splic it with a healthy moms embrio and then the child has three genetic parents.

You could even combine these two things and have two kids who have four genetic parents. Just saying.
