DAY OF AWESOME.

Idaho Vacation So Far:

♥ John Wayne Airport. Shi-chan gave me money to tip the security people outside, just in case. Best. Idea. Ever.

It turned out they weren't there to check me in, but one guy was very friendly and told me where to go inside, so I went ahead and gave it to him anyway. He was so grateful he actually hugged me. ^_^ And THEN! I ended up at the wrong check-in place (it's a self check-in terminal), and he saw me looking confused from outside, so he came in to help me! He found my terminal, checked me in, and aimed me directly at the security point for my gate.

Security took all of ten minutes to walk through. (It helped that I had decided not to bring any shampoo/conditioner/whatnot with me so I wouldn't have to deal with it.) I was at my gate with my two carry-on bags twenty minutes early.

♥ The flight was fantastic, too! The guy next to me was sweet enough to help me put my backpack in the overhead. Window seats are awesome. One of the flight attendants looked like Amy Lee from We Are the Fallen. They gave me a cup of ice water and some very yummy cookies. The plane landed early. And then my seatmate even got my backpack down again for me while I was waiting for everyone else to get off.

♥ The dog was barking when we got here, as she always does. She recognized me the moment she saw me, and practically attacked me with Happy Puppyness before I even reached the top of the stairs.

♥ Brother's mom greeted me with a hug.

♥Brother let me borrow his TV, which is about the same size as my laptop monitor, and hook it up to his PS2 so that I can *FINALLY* play my Harvest Moon: It's a Wonderful Life again while I'm here. (I have a PS2 he gave me for birthday/Christmas, but it has ALL THE CONTROLLER ISSUES. >.<)

It's just the two of us at the moment (plus an incredibly sad puppy who doesn't like being left behind ;_;) because his parents are away visiting family. So, since the guest room I'm using doesn't have much empty space, I've got the TV on one of the side tables in the living room. I can sit in the recliner with my laptop on the opposite side table keeping track of my gaming notes*, and then sit slightly turned to watch the TV and rock in the recliner.**

♥ Lots of goofing off and movie watching with Brother. So far we've watched the 2010 Robin Hood movie with Russell Crowe, Reel Steel, and the second half of Gnomeo and Juliet. There's a high def big screen TV in the living room that we're using. So far I've decided that live-action movies don't look right in high def - they actually make me kind of nauseous - but anything CG looks *amazing*. Movie Opinions: Robin Hood wasn't bad; still prefer Prince of Thieves, but I'm spoiled that way. Reel Steel was much better than I'd expected. I love Max. Also, the bloopers were hilarious. ("Wolverine! Where are you now?!") I'd already seen Gnomeo and Juliet before and loved it, but now I've decided that I want my own copy.

♥ Wasn't feeling good yesterday, so I sat and played my Harvest Moon game in the recliner. Brother got out his Wii and old copy of the GameCube version of the same game and hooked it up to the big screen. It was kind of hilarious to see the differences, plus an all around entertaining experience. I definitely prefer my version to the original, though.

♥ Went on a major shopping trip today. I HAZ ALL THE THINGS. *_* (Turns out a good portion of my wish list is in Idaho. Who knew? o.O ) I'm going to have to borrow a bag and have it checked at the airport to get everything home.

♥ COFFEE! The guy at Starbucks game me extra caramel, too! ^_^V

♥ Brother is AMAZING. (And accepts bribes!)

♥ Brother finally found his copy of Final Fantasy: Crisis Core, along with the game guide for it. That game is the entire reason I borrowed his PSP, but he couldn't find where it went. AND NOW I HAS IT! -Flails-

California Gay Marriage Ban Struck Down

And now Brother is asleep because he's currently on graveyard shift (his schedule rotates), and I am doing internet research, checking updates, and squeeing over loot.

Yeah, you guys probably won't hear from me for a few days.

Weeks.

Months.

Whatever.

* Yes, I am a gaming nerd, even if I'm not a serious gamer. Mostly I take notes for games like Harvest Moon, which requires lots of plotting and planting and calculating, and for keeping track of what my Sims have/what level they are on Sims: Medieval.

** I want a recliner.

LOOK, SOMETIMES THINGS NEED TO BE CAPSLOCKED ABOUT. THINK OF IT LESS AS CORRUPTION AND MORE AS EXPRESSING YOURSELF THROUGH THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE.

That said, I can encourage Final Fantasy. But what things are these besides Crisis Core?
