Not considered to be religiously laden. Though this being the US, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a legal ruling saying they're not. Bit assuming there isn't? There's a difference between people‘s understanding of a thing and the thing. That's exactly where privilege plays in. People claiming a figure from.the tradition.of a particular religion isn't meaningfully religious = privilege. Enforcement by custome or law = oppression.
