And now to wrap up [community profile] snowflake_challenge ...

Day Twelve

In your own space, rec at least three fanworks that you think would make a good intro into XYZ fandom. Rec a fandom overview, a introductory picspam, stories that define and shape the fandom. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

If at all possible, try to pick a smaller or rarer fandom, one that maybe doesn't have the following you feel it should.

For PR, there's a lot to mention. But I think it really depends on what season you're looking for.

[personal profile] starandrea's Firsts is arguably the best inSpace fic out there. I'm pretty sure she's also the main person behind FanonZhane, who is infinitely more awesome than he is in canon. (Actually, pretty much *everything* she writes is amazing: her Lost Galaxy, S.P.D., and Jungle Fury stories have all influenced the way I view those teams.)

For Time Force, I have two: The Fink's Identiverse and it's following stories, and cmar's Red Fire series. (Or Time series, but Red Fire is my favorite. ♥) Identiverse gives a great insight to Alex and is what made me decide to start writing his character in an attempt to like him more. cmar's Time series is complex and features a wonderful friendship between Wes, Eric, and Jen as a team, but I love Red Fire because it's been such a huge influence on helping me write Eric.

And of course then there are the two huge classic sagas that *never* get old: Jeremy Ray Logsdon's Earth Crystals, and Ellen Brand's Personality Conflicts. Both fics are *fantastic* MMPR teammups that work with the characters as a large group, then continue into their version of the later teams such as Turbo and inSpace. Earth Crystals has Ninjetti spirits, Bulk and Skull as Rangers, Lord Zedd's mother Jenga (who is one of the most awesome OC villainesses I've ever seen), and dimension hopping a la Sliders. Personality Conflicts has the Rangers in therapy, the best OC Turbo Rangers I've ever read, Zordon on trial, and an alliance of Earth Heroes that includes the Turbo Rangers, Masked Rider, the Beetleborgs, the VR Troopers, and the Ghostbusters. These fics are what influenced my fascination with Color Philosophy, and began the basis for my own theories.

For more recent reads, I'd suggest Of Love and Bunnies for the sheer amount of insanity and comedy alone, and weesta's lesser-known Crossing Paths, which is a Ninja Storm/Dino Thunder/Ninjetti crossover that touches deeper into animal spirits and elements.

These are all pretty long reads, but so worth it. ♥

Day 13

In your own space, ask for recs. Something as simple as "I like XYZ (where XYZ is a kink, a pairing, a trope, etc) - please rec me some." Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I would *love* fic recs. I adore things with fluff (romance or team friendship), teammups, sibling love, and epics with angst but happy endings. Hurt/Comfort and cuddling are very high in my priorities. I'm also on a Jayden/Antonio and Merrick/Cole kick lately because I'm trying to plot out my new ending to Samurai. ^.^;;

Day 14
In your own space, write a love letter to Fandom in general, to a particular fandom, to a trope, a relationship, a character, or to your flist/circle/followers. Share you love and squee as loud as you want to. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so

I adore my fandoms, but the only one that's truly drawn me in is Power Rangers. There are so many loving, happy people here, who stop just to leave a comment of 'Hugs' when you post that you've had a bad day. You guys have stood by me through the worst and best times in my life, and I hope to continue standing by you through yours.

I love you all, with everything I am. Thank you for making me a better person. ♥

Day 15

In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

It's not exactly a happy memory, but really ... the only thing I can say here is this.
