(I agree with the Christmas sweater. I mean, I'd have a blast doing it on my own to try to make the most ridiculous thing just to annoy my sister and for the kids to enjoy it, but I wouldn't want to deal with an office of it! I wouldn't feel like that was a safe place.)
Other than very specific jobs, like mine where I work with the elderly in their houses, you are more than correct about the workplace thing. I'm fine with people setting stuff up in their own cubicles because that should be their safe place, but forcing a holiday into someone else's? Not cool.
